Canada Gives will continually manage your charitable giving account so that you can use your time and resources for selecting and supporting the charities receiving your grants.
Investment Management
If you would like to include your own portfolio manager / financial advisor in the investment management of your Foundation account, we are pleased to work together with the people you trust provided they can work within our investment policy & goals. If you do not have an investment manager arrangement, you may select from our list of qualified investment managers/dealers. ( click here for list)
Reporting
Canada Gives will provide regular consolidated reporting to you. Your report has two components - "Business" and "Granting." The "Business" portion includes a listing of your donations, disposition gains and losses, investment gains and losses, fees and details of the investment portfolio (if applicable). The "Granting" portion provides you with both the minimum and maximum amount of funds available to grant each year, as well as a summary of the charities you have selected and the amounts they have received from your account. Be Connected.
Canada Gives will also provide you with an analysis of the charities you support on all of your reports, in the section titled "Your Charitable Giving Profile." You will be able to view (by current year and since inception) the not-for-profit sectors that your social capital supports

Canada Gives Fees
There are no out-of-pocket costs for a donor with an Account at Canada Gives. Our administration fees are deducted from the donation(s).
Individual Foundation accounts are charged an annual fee beginning at 1.25% and declining to 0.50%. Minimum annual fees apply. Initial donation of $25,000 required to open an account, additional donations of $5,000 or greater.
Corporate Foundation accounts will vary depending on the services and volume of donors/donations.
