Canada Gives, donor advised funds and endowment funds for community foundations

Creating a Foundation is Easier than You Think.

Your donations can be tailored to provide funding for charitable programs today and tomorrow according to your own philanthropic goals and objectives. 

Canada Gives accounts can be opened directly or through a donor’s own trusted advisor who can work with us to manage the donated assets, and provide effective tax and estate planning strategies for you.
 

Here's How it Works.

  1. Complete a Foundation Account Application form,
    and make a donation of cash or securities.
  2. Send the completed forms to Canada Gives and we will take it from there! Canada Gives will give you a tax receipt and your Foundation will become active.
  3. An investment account will be opened by Canada Gives to manage your donations.
  4. Canada Gives will report to you regularly and calculate the amount of grant money available every year for distribution to charities. You select the charities you wish to receive the grants and Canada Gives processes the gifts.
  5. Additional donations can be made to your Personal or
    Family Foundation account at anytime.
